Designer Marc Jacob got robbed!

On thursday afternoon, a crime had been committed. Someone stole Mark Jacob entire S/S 2012 Collection, a total of 46 Looks. on a transfer from Paris to London (short distance I might say). On the same day, the collection was to be shown to the press leading to a cancellation of the exhibit. It has been heard that Marc would reward anyone who finds or returns them.

Donatella going H.A.M on Rappers

I was looking for Kanye and Jay-Z video performance at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in New York and saw pictures instead. First thing I spotted was Kanye in Versace for H&M! Like wow isn't that crazy? Donatella marketing her brand through  rappers and singers: Nicky Minaj, Prince and now Kanye! I can see that this is about to sell for sure. Nice strategy. But then again a question that often comes to my mind is that luxury brands at lower prices are no longer consider as luxury especially when it is design for the general public. Luxury brand are high end products at high prices normally for the elite class -those few who can afford them. So do luxury brands teaming up with high street stores stand up for their image. Sorry if I am going too much over  board.

Nicole Richie, Fashion Star

 The funny thing about living in New York City is that there are so many events going on each week you don't know which one to attend. Either you found it out too late or it is only for selected people. Well, as the news is all over the news right now I thought it would be great to share. Here you go fashion lovers: Nicole Richie has been named Style Influencer of the Year at the Accesories Councill Excellence Awards held on November 7th in New York. So you might want to check out her design 'House of Harlow' and her personal style a little more.

Amy Winehouse Back to Black dress

As I read the fashion news today, I came across an article talking about Amy Winehouse dress from her highest selling album 'Back to Black' which is going on sale in London on November 23rd,2011 and the donation will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. This charity helps vulnerable young people . I found it quite interesting. Apparently the dress was designed by Disaya a young Thailand-based designer. It is expected to raise between $16,000 and $32,000. What do you think?

Chocolate Fashion Show, Did you know?

Since my father was in the chocolate industry I heard about the chocolate fashion show ages ago. If I remember I was around 12 years old when they first launch.

House Of Dereon Hits the London

Last week Friday was not only London Fashion Week. It was also, House Of Dereon UK launch at Selfridges! Yes, you've heard it right, Beyonce and Tina Knowles’ House of Deréon collection, hit Selfridges! The car park was transformed into a glamorous catwalk with the entire decor that goes with it -Music -Celebs and -Seats -Apocalyptic Background -Models in animal print, feather headdresses and tribal make-up. Beyonce and Tina Knowles closed the fabulous and fierce show...

My Opinion:

The catwalk show looked amazing, but after checking the actual collection available at Selfridges, I thought it wasn't a funny jokes! Plain- tasteless and basic, I mean it looks so cheap!!! Not my cup of tea at all. I mean I love Bee, but fashion wise? my thumbs go down to the down!
